About the Tournament

Swap the court for the sand and join us for the Jersey Netball Beach Festival! Expect fast-paced, competitive netball with a fun and social beach atmosphere.

Whether you’re an experienced player, new to netball, bringing your work colleagues or getting a group of friends together, everyone is welcome. Teams are mixed-gender and open to all abilities, making it the perfect opportunity to get active, meet new people and enjoy netball in a completely different setting.

Tournament structure and schedule:

Our Beach Festival will feature two exciting formats of netball, giving teams the chance to experience fast-paced, competitive netball on the sand.

5-a-side Beach Netball

Teams of up to 8 players, with 5 on court at a time. Games will be played across four 8-minute quarters, with two shooting zones offering 1 or 2 points. The final two minutes of each quarter will be a Powerplay, with all goals worth double points.

3-a-side Beach Netball

A fast-paced format played within the end third, with 3 players on court and rolling substitutions. Games will last 8 minutes, with goals worth 1 or 2 points depending on the shooting zone. The first team to reach 21 points wins.

Both formats will follow netball rules with specific adaptations for the beach format.

Code of Conduct

We want the festival to be a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone. All players, supporters and teams are expected to behave respectfully, look after one another and help maintain a positive atmosphere around the pitches, courts and spectator areas. Safety is our priority, and all attendees must follow the guidance of event staff, referees and safety officers throughout the weekend.

Key Expectations

  • Treat referees, volunteers, event staff and other teams with respect at all times.

  • No aggressive, abusive or unsporting behaviour on or off the court.

  • Players may not take part if they are deemed unsafe to play due to alcohol or substance use.

  • Follow all instructions from referees, marshals, safety officers and event staff.

  • Keep the playing and spectator areas safe and clear, and report any concerns to Event Control.
